Who has will of fire?

Trivia –

  • It has been noted that the Uchiha clan ‘s Curse of Hatred ( 憎しみの呪い , Nikushimi no Noroi ) is fated to clash against the Will of Fire, and Obito believes that Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki , both respectively embodying the polar ideals, are destined to fight to the death. [8]
  • Iwagakure has a similar philosophy known as the ” Will of Stone ” ( 石の意志 , Ishi no Ishi ). [9]
  • Some notable Uchiha have been able to transcend the limitations of their clan-thinking and held the Will of Fire philosophy such as Itachi , Shisui , and Kagami and Sarada. Obito Uchiha also held to such beliefs in his youth, and ultimately died following them. [10] Sasuke Uchiha, who was seemingly lost to the Curse of Hatred, ended up coming to believe in this philosophy after conceding defeat to Naruto in their final clash. [11]
    • Kakashi theorised that Obito, despite succumbing to his clan’s hatred, never truly lost his Will of Fire, and the two conflicting ideals were tearing him up inside. This would be proven true when Obito regained his former self against Madara , subsequently giving up his life to protect his newfound comrades. [10]
    • Although Sasuke only truly started to hold the Will of Fire after being defeated by Naruto, his previous philosophy of revolution also mixed the Will of Fire into his Curse of Hatred, as he would sacrifice any bonds he left and bear all the hatred and darkness of the entire shinobi world, which is a very dark form of the selflessness that made up the Will of Fire.
  • The Will of Fire seems to be a fundamental concept to one’s loyalty to Konoha, and those who reject it seems to be outright antagonistic towards the village, and in turn are held in contempt by the village:
    • Orochimaru was passed over the title of Fourth Hokage due to his refusal to embody the Will of Fire, and held a grudge against the village as a result. [12]
    • Mizuki derogatorily considered the Will of Fire to be nonsense, and his act of sacrificing comrades to accomplish a mission shows his lack of loyalty to his fellow villagers. [13]

Is there ANBU in Boruto?

Naruto defined its ninja ranks clearly when it began years ago, and fans have watched its heroes move up the line. Now, Boruto has revealed one such ninja has reached ANBU, and it was a fighter they didn’t see coming. Recently, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations put out its latest episode, and the update caught up on some drama.

Not only is Boruto Uzumaki running rogue with his genin comrades in the Hidden Rock, but the Leaf Village is facing a crisis over the missing team. If the kids are caught, the peace which Naruto worked so hard to build could be broken, but Konohamaru is willing to do what it takes to rescue his wayward students.

“This concerns my team. As a shinobi, I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to keep a subordinate in line,” Konohamaru says. Surprisingly enough, Naruto agrees to the mission but only under the strictest of circumstances. “This is a mission where no one can know that you’re a Hidden Leaf shinobi and failing this mission could disrupt the peace in the village.

You intend on going even after knowing this fact,” Naruto asks, ensuring Konohamaru knows what he’s getting into. After agreeing, Konohamaru is able to show audiences how powerful he really is. The man might be a jounin team leader these days, but it seems he was not always there.

In fact, Konohamaru was assigned an ANBU mask and brought into the super-elite branch. Boruto ‘s new episode sees Konohamaru suit up as an ANBU before heading out on his mission, so fans are hoping the Sarutobi clansman will show why he was made ANBU when he heads into battle next.

Why there is no ANBU in Boruto?

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 157, “Kara’s Footprints,” now streaming on Crunchyroll. In the Naruto series, we learned a lot about how villages use the special ops units known as the ANBU (Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai, meaning Special Assassination and Tactical Squad).

  1. Some, like Kirigakure, used the squad to hunt down runaway shinobi and kill them, while others, like Konoha, deployed the tactical team for shadow missions and to keep agendas as covert as possible;
  2. Ultimately, Konoha’s squad came off more shady than heroic, causing people in the village to not give ANBU their support;

Thankfully, as the latest Boruto episode shows, decades later there has been an evolution, with Konoha’s ANBU finally turned into something much more virtuous, progressive and transparent. What Does The Anbu Tattoo Mean It’s highlighted with Sai’s team of genin (aka junior ninjas) known as Team 25: Hōki Taketori, Hako Kuroi and Renga Kokubō. What makes it all the more special is they’re not even the big names or kids belonging to the esteemed ninjas in Naruto’s time, so to see these fresh faces at such a young age being trusted operatives is mind-blowing. They helped in the Mujina Bandits arc, capturing Shojoji for Sasuke to probe.

  • This led Sasuke and Sai to the Hidden Village in the Rain, and by extension to Kara;
  • And it’s when the senior ninjas arrive and Sasuke sees Sai thanking them and then letting them know they can’t go further due to danger that he really sees how Konoha has changed in terms of using the next generation;

Sai sends them to relay information to other members of Konoha’s defense team and other ninja villages, illustrating co-operation. They also knew not to explore beyond the borders where there are poisonous gas leaks, hinting at secret experiments. He can tell the students are taking mentorship well and wouldn’t break rules like he and Naruto, for example, would have done.

  • The bad rap of old seems to be gone, erasing the incompetency of the ANBU;
  • In the past, Sasuke’s brother, Itachi, and fellow clan member, Shisui Uchiha, did dirty work for Konoha under the ANBU banner — as did the likes of Danzo and Kakashi;

In fact, it even meant spying on people within the village, or in Itachi’s case, killing them. Konoha’s ANBU was an internal threat that Hokages struggled to purify and create a good reputation. What Does The Anbu Tattoo Mean ANBU also preyed on emotionally-closed and violent ninjas with no conscience, even from a young age. Now, the group brings composure, warmth and overall light in Team 25. It rehabilitates the image and it throws back to the vision Madara and Hashirama had when they first formed Konoha. They wanted a proper police force to take care of their village, and later on, others too, believing ninjas needed to be taught the shinobi way from a young age to ensure justice would be meted out.

ANBU, though, was corrupted and used for self-gain and politics in Konoha, giving other nations competition as they misappropriated their squads into death cults, such as Danzo’s Root. While Sasuke doesn’t show  much emotion in the episode, it’s clear that he’s still pleasantly surprised, knowing this is a step in the right direction to producing mentally healthy, responsible and skilled ninjas.
