Pre-Class Requires a Blood Borne Pathogens Certification Before your training begins you must study and pass a Bloodborne Pathogens/Communicable Disease certification. This training can be completed at the Tennessee Department of Health or online at the Alliance of Professional Tattooists https://tattoosafety.

- Fundamental Beginner Course 100- hour Fundamental / Beginner course has three parts;
- Part 1- you will receive a pre-study manual when you register for the class;
The material is intended for self-study and will provide preparation for your permanent makeup course. It is essential to properly study the material before the class is taken. (40 hours) Part 2- During the fundamental training, you will learn to apply with a machine a shaded eyebrow, eyeliner, and lip procedures. (8 Hours) Topics covered in the fundamental training include:
- Introduction to permanent makeup – Overview of procedure expectations, maintaining records and necessary forms, setting up and disassembling a workstation
- Health and safety standards- Maintaining a safe and sterile work environment, maintaining records and necessary forms, avoiding cross-contamination, health codes
- Ideal candidates – Determining if a potential client is a good candidate for permanent makeup
- Client expectations- Communicating with clients, setting proper expectations, and fulfilling their requests
- Skin anatomy – Introduction to skin anatomy, layers of the epidermis, layers of the dermis, specialized dermal cells, muscle anatomy
- Color theory- Facts and information on color theory undertones versus skin tones, Clues for how to determine a client’s undertones, Fitzpatrick skin chart, Mixing fashionable color
- Room setup – Preparing the treatment room, including recommended tools and supplies
- Brow design – Drawing and designing eyebrows based on clients’ features and desire for optimal results
- Step-by-step instruction on proper technique – Eyebrows, Eyeliner, and Lip procedure, Guidelines to follow for implanting

This course is $6,000 with a $550 non-refundable deposit due at booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the course begins. Apprenticeship is not included in the class fee. If you wish to do the 1-year apprenticeship with us after you have completed the course the cost is an additional $6,000. The total for the course and the apprenticeship is 12,000 Advanced Courses will allow us to focus on specific areas.

Tennessee requires that you have a Tattoo license to perform Permanent Cosmetics and Microblading unless you are under the supervision of a physician licensed by the State of Tennessee. A Monthly customized schedule will be arranged upon completion of the fundamentals.
You will need to apply for your Tattoo Apprentice Permit at your Public Health Center. 1-year Apprenticeships are not included in your fundamental basic training course. $2750 is due on the first day of the apprenticeship, the remaining balance is due at the completion of the year.

Susan said she was devastated after her microblading experience. Helen has been trying to fix Susan’s botched brows, which has been a long process that started in July. She hears from unhappy microblading customers weekly.
