What does lips tattoo mean?

Lips Tattoo Meaning – Lips, particularly female, are used often as an image to represent erogenous and intimate activity, especially when pictured in a color or pattern associated with passion. The lips will usually look lifelike, as if someone has just kissed the owner of the lips tattoo wherever the tattoo is placed.

  • These tattoos will often be found on the neck, the shoulder, or the arm, but it is a tattoo design that can be placed anywhere on the body;
  • Red lips are usually meant to convey sex appeal and kissing especially when placed in an intimate area like on the hips, neck, abdomen, etc;

This is particularly true when lips are rendered like a lipstick print mark, leaving the impression of a kiss. These can be very personal tattoos, so the owners might keep them hidden or they might be very open about their meanings. Red lips are used in this way because of their immediate connection to erotic, sensual themes and the taboo nature of those themes.

The red lips, usually with an open mouth, are a symbol of counterculture in this way, disregarding the norm. If someone wants everyone to know that they are rebellious, then the red lips tattoo might just be the perfect design for them.

They could also just want everyone to know that they are very sexual people and proud of it. The image of lips can go beyond the sexual connections that are tied to the mouth, and serve as a representation of verbal discussion and communication. When depicted as closed lips, the image conveys a lack of communication or an inability.

Someone who recognizes that they have problems communicating with others might get the lips tattoo to try to inspire themselves to be more open with others. The lips tattoo could also be for someone who prefers not to talk to others and gets the lips tattoo to make that message come across to those who approach them.

The image of lips can also symbolize a relationship. The lips or lip print can be that of a wife, girlfriend or any other loved one to serve as a reminder of that connection. The lips serve as a romantic symbol portraying the bond between two people, so in some cases both people in the relationship will get matching lips tattoos.

  • Generally, this is an image of a non-platonic relationship, the symbol of lovers, but it’s not uncommon for friends (especially female) to get lips tattoos;
  • As you can see, there are many lips tattoo meanings and quite a few designs to choose from;

They don’t usually hold extremely deep meanings to outsiders, but those who get the lips tattoos will usually give their own very important meanings to them. If you decide to get a lips tattoo, you should think about the exact design that you want and the location on your body that would give the lips tattoo as much meaning as possible.

Why is Lip from Shameless so hot?

His Intelligence – There’s more to his charm than his tendency to jump fences and punch out security guards. Alongside his reckless nature is another quality that’s always left women swooning: He’s a f*cking genius. A natural genius, Lip had a tendency for getting in trouble for his attitude, and getting out of it with his intelligence.

In the dawn of the nerd, Lip manages to perfectly balance brains and brawn to a point where there’s not a dry pair of underwear to be found. He pulls off the sexy nerd with a serious attitude problem, not to mention he actually doesn’t give a f*ck.

We all know nothing’s sexier than a man who’s smart and doesn’t know it.

What is the scar on lips back?

Joaquin Phoenix – Joaquin Phoenix was born with what looks like a type of scar between his lip and nose. It’s actually a microform cleft, the mildest form of cleft lip. It typically appears as a scar or notch. Cleft lip is a birth defect that develops very early in a pregnancy, before the 10-week mark. About 6,800 babies in the United States are born with some form of cleft lip or cleft palate each year.

Why did Lip shave his head?

When “Shameless” returned for its ninth season last month, the character of Lip had noticeably shorter hair than in years past. That’s because actor Jeremy Allen White has been juggling some other roles along with his work on the Showtime series. He stars in the new indie relationship drama, “After Everything” (at Facets and the Pickwick in Park Ridge starting Friday). Twenty-three and on the cusp of some major life changes: Jeremy Allen White in a scene from the indie relationship drama “After Everything. ” (Good Deed Entertainment) And that new haircut is courtesy of the forthcoming Julia Roberts Amazon series “Homecoming,” a psychological thriller in which he plays a soldier attempting to resume life stateside. “I wrapped ‘Homecoming’ on a Friday in May and I started ‘Shameless’ Season 9 the following Monday,” White said with a laugh, “so I didn’t have much time to grow my hair out.

” When we spoke earlier this week, it was just hours before his “Shameless” co-star Cameron Monaghan (who plays Lip’s younger brother Ian) announced that Sunday’s episode will be his last. That’s in addition to Emmy Rossum’s recent announcement that she would be leaving the show as well at the end of this season.

White was unavailable for comment on the Monaghan news, but when we spoke about Rossum’s departure, he did address whether he thinks the show is likely to continue for future seasons. The following is an edited transcript. Q: “Shameless” is wrapping up the first half of its ninth season in the next couple of weeks.

  • It sounds like as far as executive producer John Wells is concerned , the show could go on for the next 10 years;
  • What’s your take? A: You know, I think the show is bigger than any of its characters and that’s why it works;

It’s about the place where they grew up — the neighborhood — and all these characters are just a way to let the audience see that. So yeah, I think we can do more — and I think we’re gonna do more. And I think it could be interesting. We’ve been doing the show for so long with this kind of structure of Fiona being mom to everybody, and I think it could be really interesting when that piece is removed to see how everybody reacts. Brad (Scott Michael Campbell, right) is sober again this season, which means Lip (Jeremy Allen White, left) is free to focus on other things — like how to pass the idle hours of his day without giving in to his own desire to drink. (Paul Sarkis/Showtime) Q: Last year when I interviewed Steve Howey (who plays Kev), I asked him about the show’s future and at the time he thought this would be the last season because everyone’s contracts are up. He wasn’t sure Warner Bros. and Showtime would want to negotiate new contracts with higher rates.

I’m interested to see what they write. What’s your sense now? A: I think we will do more. I don’t know that, it’s not official. But yeah, I think there’s more story to be told and I think Warner Bros. and Showtime are willing to go a little longer.

Q: You and your girlfriend are expecting a baby in real life. On the show, Lip was contemplating the idea of becoming the guardian and parent of Xan. What is it like when the show you’re working on mirrors some of the thoughts you might be having in your own life about impending fatherhood? A: It’s a trip, ya know? But it’s something we’re kind of — we’ve been doing the show for a long time and John Wells knows us all really well (laughs) , he’s seen us all grow up.

So it’s not uncommon that he sprinkles in things that I think reflect what we have going on in our own lives. And I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes I think it runs the risk of being a little exploitative.

And other times I want to dive in completely because I’d love to find out something about myself while playing a character. So it’s been an exciting way to kind of explore yourself. Especially in the case of “Shameless,” because we’ve just grown up in these characters, I think it’s impossible for them not mirror our own lives in some way.

When you’ve been playing a role for that long, you’re always drawing from yourself. Q: So John Wells knew you were having a baby when he was writing that storyline with Xan? A: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Q: This is the requisite “Shameless” question: The show is filled with all these outrageous moments and frequently they are sex scenes.

What goes through your mind when you first read a script and see what the writers have come up with? A: I don’t know, I think I’m numb to it now! I’ve had times in which — I think there was an episode in Season 3 or 4, where there was a teacher shaving Lip’s pubic region and I remember reading that and I was only 19 or 20 years old at the time, and I couldn’t believe I was going to do that on television.

It was really daunting and really frightening. But at this point when I see a sex scene, the only thing that reminds me it’s strange is when there’s a guest actor on set preparing themselves and I see them looking nervous and I go: “Oh right, this is something to be nervous about.

” And then I kind of talk them through it to make them comfortable, which I guess kind of helps self-soothe me as well. Maika Monroe and Jeremy Allen White in a scene from “After Everything. ” (Good Deed Entertainment) Q: Let’s talk about “After Everything. ” Your character, who’s 23, gets a cancer diagnosis right as he starts dating someone new and their relationship moves so quickly, they end up getting married. Once he’s in remission and their lives normalize a little, they realize maybe they rushed into things.

A: I think what’s so interesting is, we aren’t really trying to pull on anyone’s heartstrings. It’s not about illness, it’s just a very honest portrayal of two young people kind of breaching adulthood a little too early, and that’s what struck a chord with me when reading it.

I’m close to that same age and I’m in a similar place. I think my character, Elliot, was really, really in love with this girl, which makes sense. I mean, she’s been taking care of him and nurturing him and really being his person through this incredibly stressful and scary time in his life. Caught up in a moment: Jeremy Allen White and Maika Monroe in “After Everything” (Good Deed Entertainment) And then the second half of the movie, it’s interesting to see the fallout when regular life sets in. The honeymoon phase is over and they’re on an even playing field again. They got to know one another in a situation where it was just about taking care of Elliot, taking care of Elliot, taking care of Elliot. And then when it needed to be more of a mutual relationship where they’re taking care of each other — like most healthy relationships work — it’s harder to find that balance. The facility at the center of “Homecoming” is meant to help soldiers (Stephan James, left, and Jeremy Allen White) reacclimate to life stateside, but it might be more sinister than it first appears. (Amazon) Q: You’re also in the new Amazon series “Homecoming,” which comes out Nov. 2, and you play a returning soldier named Shrier who suspects that there is more going on than meets the eye. A: The show is about a facility that’s supposed to help soldiers reacclimate to civilian life.

  • Julia Roberts plays a counselor there;
  • So you’re meeting all these young men coming off of long tours in the military and they’re a little bit on edge;
  • And Shrier is particularly so;
  • He’s very anxious, even a little paranoid;

And he doesn’t trust the system. He doesn’t understand where he is, why he’s there, and he starts asking all these questions very early on in the story. Jeremy Allen White and director Sam Esmail on the set of the Amazon series “Homecoming. ” (Amazon) Q: The episodes are directed by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, who is married to your “Shameless” co-star Emmy Rossum, so I’m guessing you were already friendly with Sam? A: Yeah, I’ve known Sam for a couple years now. He did this great movie with Emmy years ago (2014’s “Comet”), that’s how they met.

  • I saw that and loved it and talked to him about how much I enjoyed his movie;
  • And then we just ended up hanging out; we spent a couple Thanksgivings together at mutual friends’ homes here in LA;
  • So it was really nice, I had never been directed by someone I considered a friend first;

He’s a genius; I’m so happy I got to do something with him. Q: Julia Roberts doesn’t do television much. What was your experience like working with her? A: She was fantastic. Over the course of the whole show I maybe only shared one glance with her on camera, but it was a fantastic glance! [email protected]

Are scars attractive on a woman?

Men with facial scars are more attractive to women seeking short-term relationships, scientists at the University of Liverpool have found. It was previously assumed that in Western cultures scarring was an unattractive facial feature and in non-Western cultures they were perceived as a sign of maturity and strength.

Scientists at Liverpool and Stirling University, however, have found that Western women find scarring on men attractive and may associate it with health and bravery. Researchers investigated how scarring might impact on mate choice for men and women seeking both long-term and short-term relationships.

They found that women preferred men with facial scars for short-term relationships and equally preferred scarred and un-scarred faces for long-term relationships. Men, however, regarded women with and without facial scars as equally attractive for both types of relationship.

Dr Rob Burriss, from the University’s School of Biological Sciences, explains: “Male and female participants were shown images of faces that displayed scarring from injury or illness, and were asked to rate how attractive they found the person for long-term and short-term relationships.

“Women may have rated scarring as an attractive quality for short-term relationships because they found it be a symbol of masculinity, a feature that is linked to high testosterone levels and an indicator of good genetic qualities that can be passed on to offspring.

Men without scars, however, could be seen as more caring and therefore more suitable for long-term relationships. “The results demonstrate that we may have more in common with non-Western cultures than previously thought.

The perception that scarring is a sign of strength is a view shared by the Yanomamö tribe of Venezuela for example, who use face-paint to accentuate scars that result from ritualised club fights designed to test a man’s endurance against repeated strikes to the head.

“The assumption that scarring is a sign of bravery is also consistent with the historical tradition of academic fencing in Western culture, whereby scarring on a man was often evidence of his courage and ability to withstand an opponent’s blow.

” ### The research is published in the journal of Personality and Individual Differences. Members of the public are invited to take part in the online face preference studies by logging on to Dr Burriss’ webpage at www. oraclelab. co. uk Notes to editors: 1.

Why do my scars turn purple?

RED OR REDDISH-PURPLE SCARS – In the initial stages of wound healing, the wound and developing scar appear red or reddish-purple. This is because the injured area sends signals to the body to direct more blood flow to the area to help the healing process.

Part of this new blood blood flow is created by the spontaneous development of new blood vessels, something called   angiogenesis. Additionally, existing blood vessels will dilate to allow even more blood supply as well as inflammatory mediators, immune cells, nutrients, and growth factors to enter the area and repair the damage.

During these processes, a person will begin to experience the physical effects of inflammation, such as swelling and a red or reddish-purple appearance to their scar. Most of the time red or reddish-purple scars will fade in color as the wound heals, which typically takes around 12 months.

In some cases, however, scars can remain discolored. This occurs most frequently with keloids and hypertrophic scars. Both of these scar types have a red, dark appearance, are raised above the skin, and can sometimes feel lumpy.

Also, both keloids and hypertrophic scars are formed due to excess collagen production during the wound healing process. The   main difference between a keloid and a hypertrophic scar   is that keloids grow beyond the boundaries of the original site of skin injury, whereas hypertrophic scars remain confined to the injured area.

Does the cast of Shameless actually smoke?

Fake Smokers – A lot of addictive behaviors are on display in  Shameless , each with varying degrees of danger and legality. In comparison, smoking tobacco is far from the worst thing the characters are seen doing. That doesn’t mean that there still hasn’t been a lot of thought given to how smoking is portrayed on the show. Attentive viewers might have noticed that both Fiona and Ian smoked a lot more in early seasons than they would later on, and there is a reason for that.

Neither Emmy Rossum nor Cameron Monaghan (Ian) is a smoker in real life, and there was some concern over whether the non-smokers were believably portraying smoking on screen. Both actors just decided that their characters wouldn’t smoke as much.

Meanwhile, Lip has always smoked like a chimney , and that’s because actor Jeremy Allen White actually does smoke.

Is Shameless realistic?

Is  Shameless  based on a true story? – Nope, it’s not. The Gallagher family isn’t a real family — well, the one in the show at least. Real life Gallagher families, we see you!  Shameless  was, however, based on something entirely different.

What family is Shameless based on?

Is Shameless based on a real family? – No, The Gallaghers were not inspired by any real-life family. However, the American series is a direct adaptation of the original British series of the same name. Created and written by Paul Abbott, Shameless ran on the UK’s Channel 4 for 11 seasons, between 2004 and 2013.

  1. The show also features The Gallaghers and most of the characters have the same names as the American adaptation;
  2. The pilot episode of both the British and American versions are nearly identical, and then the American show found its own narrative;

Why would someone get a barcode tattoo?

Barcode tattoos seem to be all the rage these days, but many people wonder about their meanings. Well, in some cases those meanings are quite strange, but you’ll usually find that they give you a better understanding of who the person is who has the tattoo.

  • On this page we are going to take a look at each barcode tattoo meaning and a few of the cool ways that you can get these tats designed;
  • The series of thick and thin lines that make up a barcode are an intricate design that relates specific information to a scanner;

The scanner reads that barcode and reveals that information, giving you a lot of insight into whatever has that particular barcode. What’s pretty great about barcode tattoos is that they are usually made to be scannable. That means that if you get one of these designs, you can very easily have it designed in a way that lets people “scan” your code to give them an idea of who you are. To some people that is a terrible idea, while others love the fact that they can pack in a bunch of great meanings and have them be read out by simply scanning those lines on their skin.

The barcode as a tattoo can hold a plethora of meanings, each particular to the individual who bears it. If you think about it, the barcode tattoo meaning that one person has can give you so much more information about them than just about any other type of tattoo.

This gives people who are designing a barcode tattoo for themselves a lot to think about, but it is also very exciting because they can pack a lot of meanings into a very simple design. The barcode tattoo can serve as identification of name, address, birthplace, or just about anything else you can think of.

If you have an idea in mind and you are looking to add in an additional barcode tattoo meaning, chances are there is a way you can do it. In most cases people put their basic information in the barcode so as to show that they are proud of who they are and where they came from.

However, in some cases people most definitely add in far more information about themselves, especially traits that they are proud of. The barcode is the symbol of a product, something that was manufactured and is to be sold. In this way, the barcode can be representative of slavery, forced labor, or a traumatic experience where individuality was lost.

  1. People who use this barcode tattoo meaning are showing that they are against forced labor and slavery and that they stand with anyone who is treated inhumanely;
  2. They might also get it if they feel that they themselves are treated in this way;

Manufactured products are rarely unique and often one of many, leading to the barcode as a description of conformity. It creates a connection to machinery and robotics, the fabrication of a product. Some people actually do feel a bit like robots or machines and find that the barcode tattoo is the perfect way to express that through their ink.

Those who want to take this idea to the next level can get machine-like parts in their designs, making them look half human and half robot. The barcode is also a tracking device and as a symbol, conveys ownership.

One who wears the barcode is a product of something else whose ties with the product cannot be broken. The barcode becomes a permanent reminder of one’s creation and origin. Barcodes only exist to be read by machines in order to convey information and are the perfect symbol of technological advance.

  • An individual who feels compelled towards the intricate workings of machinery may use the barcode as a symbol for that connection to modern mechanisms;
  • The lines and dashes create a language that can only be read by the machines, tying the image of the barcode further to the idea of increasingly intelligent technology;

If you think about it, this is a fantastic way to use the “intelligent” meaning in a unique way. It’ might not be a clear barcode tattoo meaning to outsiders, but that might actually be a good thing to some people. Additionally, the barcode may be used with a group of individuals to portray their allegiance to one another. A particular barcode pattern can become a symbol for the group, conveying their similarities and alliance. In these cases the group will come up with different traits that they want to be read out when the barcodes are scanned. The barcode tattoo image could serve to connect siblings, friends, or any other number of groups that feel their origins are synchronized in some way.

  1. It can make for an excellent family tattoo for families who all agree to get matching designs;
  2. The barcode can read out where the family is from and might even include a full list of family members that spans many generations;

Some people will get their barcode tattoos specifically because they bring with them an air of mystery. This is sometimes used as the primary barcode tattoo meaning, but in most cases it is just a nice little add-on meaning that people like to use. The actual meanings are inside of the barcode, but unless the owner of the tattoo allows you to scan it, you will never know that information about them.

  1. Above all else, the barcode is a symbol of belonging, origination, and creation;
  2. It is the mark of the manufacturer, whoever or whatever that may be;
  3. In this way you could use the barcode tattoo as a religious image;

You could have it as a lone tattoo or you could combine it with other designs to make the meaning a bit clearer. Even though the real barcode is pretty much always done in black ink, you really can get these designed in any colors that you want. You will want to think of the barcode tattoo meaning that you are using, though, since that might help you to figure out how you can tweak the design.

  1. In fact, each color also brings some meanings with it, so you might choose your color based on your personality;
  2. Some people will completely replace the numbers in their barcode tattoos with short quotes or names;

This is one of the simplest and best ways to allow people to know what the barcode stands for and the most important things in your life. In most cases people will use the same fonts used in barcodes, but you really can use any font that you like as long as it blends in well with the barcode look.

  1. Another cool way that you can design a barcode tattoo is to make the numbers your birthdate or some other significant date;
  2. One example of a date that you can use is your wedding date, which can turn the barcode tattoo into a full wedding tattoo design;

This makes the meaning a bit clearer and it will pretty much guarantee that you are the only person with that specific barcode tattoo. Besides all of the barcode tattoo meanings we’ve mentioned, a lot of people get these designs because they can fit just about anywhere on the body.

You can easily fit one on your neck, your finger, your wrist, or even behind your ear. If you were looking to get a meaningful tattoo but you didn’t want to cover a large area of your body with it, the barcode design might just be the perfect idea for you.

We hope you now have a better idea of what a barcode tattoo is and some of the meanings you can attach to these designs. These are very cool tattoos that have that added function of actually being scannable, which is pretty amazing. If you are thinking about getting a barcode tattoo, be sure to find a top artist in your area to do the work for you. .
