I actually got them done in 2 different places. Ear Lobe I got it done for 10 dollars only on both sides. They used a gun on me. I clean them with rubbing alcohol, make sure to stay consistent because I got infected. The second piercing is helix but only on one side of the ear. Wasn’t painful at all just a tear using a needle and that’s about it. After that, you get a throbbing sensation for like one day only. I got the helix done for 20 dollars. BE SURE TO GET YOUR HELIX PIERCING DONE BY A NEEDLE NOT A GUN. The area is very sensitive and the needle is the best choice. Many of the places use a gun so I recommend if they use a gun don’t go there. Even if it’s cheaper. If they recommend a lotion or some kind of ointment to buy for your newly pierced ears, I don’t think it’s really necessary. Just buy some sea salt and stir it in water then place your ear in the water for approximately 10-15 mins. |

Then an upper lobe piercing done at Walmart for their normal price. 2 helixs from the place I now regularly visit for $10 when the piercer was in training. Right now they have a special on navel piercings and they do these specials quite often $10 for a navel piercing normally $20 any surface piercing is $40,Dermal anchors are $60 each but if getting more then 1 we drop the price to $50 (The more you get the less they are)isnt that great!septum piercings cost up to $50 but can also be less. |

I got 3 dermals underneath my left collarbone, the first two were fine, just a lot of pressure but the third hurt a lot because it pushed against my collarbone. It was fast, maybe 15 min but everything was sterilized. I love them |

The part that freaked me out the most was the clamp. I was prepared for the pain from the needle just didn’t factor in that there would a clamp pinching my skin. But I got over that quick when the needle pierced through, it was very painful, but didn’t last too long. Make sure you get aftercare instructions because I found those very helpful especially in keeping myself calm about it not being infected. I got my nose pierced with a small gemstone titanium jewelry at Krazy kats last August. The piercer was excellent and it didn’t really hurt, only bled for a few minutes. She gave me great aftercare instruction. I got it for more than a year ago and have changed the jewelries a couple of times since then. |

- You might want pillows around, which can feel better when you sit down. You want yourself, and your parents to be as comfortable as possible.
- 3 Begin by describing your achievements. You can list off your academic success, events you have volunteered at, or family members you have helped out. This is a great way to break the ice, and show your parents what you have achieved. This will ease the conversation into something more controversial like getting a piercing.
- List all the A’s and B’s you have received recently in school. Tell them about the book reports you have written. Tell them that you are helping other kids with their schoolwork as well.
- Volunteer activities, such as at a blood drive, or cleaning a road, show your parents that you are a responsible young adult. Don’t: go on for more than a few sentences, which can sound suspicious. Do: move on if your parents ask what this is about.
- 4 Lay out your case. Either read from your prepared statements, or speak from memory. Use your arms when you speak as to show emotion and engagement. Use clear, logical sentences. Remember to stay on point, and do not stray into other areas of conversation. If your parents interrupt, remind them that they will have a turn to ask questions later on.
After you have your parents warmed up, and reminded of your good deeds, they may be more receptive to what you are about to ask of them. State your argument, give evidence, and then repeat your argument again.
[10] Don’t: talk over your parents or patronize them. Do: say “I know you have questions, I’d just like to tell you the details first. ”
- 5 Avoid irrational behavior and emotions. Crying, weeping, and/or frowning shows your parents that you are unable to handle your emotions and, therefore, not mature enough to get a piercing. You want to be calm, cool, and collected. Speak with heart, but don’t let it get to you. Present yourself as a clear thinking, rational adult, whom has facts to back up his/her argument. [11]

They will feel more comfortable standing by your side as you are getting a piercing. They might even want to get a piercing as well, thereby creating a family bonding moment.
- 5 Save up money to purchase the piercing. A sign of maturity is that you are taking responsibility for at least some of your finances. Many parents live paycheck to paycheck, and don’t have the extra money to shell out for a piercing. Apply for a job, and save up your own money. Make sure you have enough to cover the piercing and the piece of jewelry you want. [17]
- 6 Go above and beyond with your daily chores. You don’t even have to talk with your parents to demonstrate your level of maturity. Do the laundry or the dishes without being asked. Volunteer to take out the trash, or pick up your brother from his soccer game. Spend more time with the family at game night, and/or go out to dinner with them.
- Tell your parents that you are willing to pay for part of, or the whole procedure out of pocket;
- Be a real part of the family and show them you are taking on responsibility;
- They might then reciprocate, and reward you for your newfound level of maturation and standing;

A new piercing is exciting and we know you will want to try new styles soon. However, it is important to give your ears time to heal before changing your ear piercing. Lobe Piercing: If you are using Standard After Care Lotion, it is usually necessary to wait 6 weeks before changing your earrings.
With Rapid ™ After Care Cleanser you can usually change your earrings after 3 weeks. Cartilage Piercing: For cartilage, you will need to leave your earring in for at least 12 weeks with our Standard After Care Lotion. With the use of Rapid ™ After Care Cleanser, you can usually change your cartilage piercing after 8 weeks.
Nose Piercing (select stores in the UK, EU & Quebec): Your new nose stud can be changed in as little as 6 weeks with Rapid ™ After Care Lotion or 8 weeks with Standard After Care Lotion. After piercing, it is normal for the area to feel hot and maybe a little sore.
